Strawberry Crown Jewel Pie

2-3 pints of fresh strawberries, 1 c sugar, 2.5 T cornstarch, 1 T. fresh lemon juice, 1 T. butter, dash of salt.
Fill up a cup of crushed berries with 1 cup water and all of the above ingredients (except the rest of the washed and de-leafed strawberries). Cook in a saucepan until clear, stirring constantly. Cool slightly. Arrange the perfect uncut berries on top of a cooked pie shell. Pour the glaze over the top and refrigerate. Serve.
