Weekend kayaking on the Suwannee River

Nelson and I spent 3 glorious days with friends, kayaking and biking at the Suwannee State Park. It did rain off and on Friday and Saturday but there were always things to do with friends and even just sitting on the screened porch watching the rain hit the tin roof. The 2 bedroom cabins are great: kitchen, living room with fireplace, and quite cozy. SInce it rained, I was thankful for the cabin versus the tents. There are wonderful hiking trails and for those who didn't partake in the biking runs, kayaking was the way to go. We had to shuttle the cars so at the end of a run, we had a way to get back to the camp. The river was high and was running too fast to paddle up stream.
