Artist Retreat in Tybee Island Georgia was productive

I was invited to spend 5 days on Tybee Island for an artist/author retreat. I assumed there would be interaction between the other invitees but since there wasn't, I went into a personal surge of creativity and relaxation. Some days I would paint for most of the time but I always found time to take walks on the beach and see the sights on quaint little Tybee. It is off season so it was VERY QUIET. No computers or phones!! Wonderful. I did nearly finish six paintings which was amazingly productive... without the distractions of husband, friends, telephone and computer business. At night, I made my favorite foods (chicken and avocado burritos, etc) and continued to listen to music and paint. The cottage was the old converted Mess Hall from when the island was a military base in 1927. It was beautifully shabby chic and island style.
