ART show shortened by storm

Yesterday's ARTS in the Park show was cut short at 1:30 by huge storm that came up quickly. It was disappointing since all the artists worked so hard for weeks getting ready, arriving at 8 in the morning to spend 2 hours setting up in their tents and then only having half the day to sell. Luckily, 3 friends came to my rescue and we scrambled to strike the tent and put all of the artwork into the cars. It happened so fast that the tent nearly collapsed from rain filling up on the roof. My friend Mick who is 6'7" was able to push the pockets of gallons of water that would fill up over and over. Thanks so much Mick, Nan and George for helping me avert a disaster. As luck will have it, today is sunny so I will take all the wet stuff outside and dry it out in my driveway before packing it all up properly. We were all soaked to the bone. These are the ones that sold before the storm came in and I am so thrilled it was a great morning. Very happy.
