Mixed media painting a challenge

This 32 x 40" canvas was originally an original photograph that I digitally tinted and had printed on canvas. Then I painted into the image with acrylic paints. It took quite a lot of different stages and weeksof new directions. The metallic gold border took 3 coats of two different gold paints. It is stunning in real life with the gold sheen and colorful brush strokes.

  1. I like it a lot. Do you use a printer specially designed for fabric printing? Or did you have it done by a specialist? I really want to print on fabrics, too and have have been thinking about outsourcing, but wonder if it is worth all the trouble. x
