Sanderlings Running

I started this 24×24″ painting a week ago and finally feel that it is done. While I teach seniors to paint, it reminds me of lovely 80 year old Val who always asks me, “AM I Done Yet?” As an artist, you are the only one who can really answer. After I think I am finished, I display my paintings in a different room so I can peak at it for a week and make slight adjustments before varnishing. I am trying to be more abstract with my paintings and show the strokes of the brush. It is not easy with acrylics. Some are not as thick or opaque so layers upon layers are needed to the right look.
