Semi abstract Beach landscape painting Published on October 3, 2016October 3, 2016 by lindaolsen Obviously I have been obsessed with painting water last month. This semi abstract beach landscape has some unique details with metallic inference paints that add some neat effects. I actually started this with using a palette knife to paint on flexible plaster to form the basis of the shoreline and waves. Then I added raw umber to the entire painting with a glazing medium. After that was dry, I started dry brushing the colors into the texture. I actually wanted this to be more abstract but find that the longer I work on a painting, the less abstract it becomes. I a still happy with the result and think it will look great on a wall. The size is 16x40x1.5″. Share this:EmailTweetShare on TumblrLike Loading... Related
