Two paintings sold to a customer in south Florida

Packaging is the hardest part. Need Archival paper, sheets of plastic (large garbage bag), 2 ply plywood cut to shape of painting, foam corners, bubble wrap, several cardboard boxes.

Recent International sales of my paintings

The first painting ” Reflections in Water” is 24x48x1.5″ is was sold to a couple in Germany.
“Tony’s Bar in Negril” was sold to a woman in Australia. The hardest thing to international sales is properly protecting and boxing up. First I wrap with archival paper. Then I add a cut piece of masonite slightly larder than the painting to protect the painting, add stryophome corners then bubble wrap. The it all goes in a larger box.

Sunrise at the Beach inspired painting

Walking on the beach at sunrise and even sometimes in the early evening, pastel colors flood the sky. My goal was to express this idea in a semi abstract painting done with larger brushes and knife. "Pink Sky Morning" is 15x30"

Sailing Painting Completed

ensenada-race-48

I wanted to paint a memory from my youth of sailing along the coast of California. This 30×48″ gallery wrap painting called “Ensenada Race” commemorating the annual grand race from Newport Beach to Ensenada Mexico. Since I was little my family would race our sailboat in this regatta. This painting was done mostly with palette knife, some brushwork and some metallic golds.

Semi abstract Beach landscape painting

Obviously I have been obsessed with painting water last month. This semi abstract beach landscape has some unique details with metallic inference paints that add some neat effects. I actually started this with using a palette knife to paint on flexible plaster to form the basis of the shoreline and waves. Then I added raw umber to the entire painting with a glazing medium. After that was dry, I started dry brushing the colors into the texture. I actually wanted this to be more abstract but find that the longer I work on a painting, the less abstract it becomes. I a still happy with the result and think it will look great on a wall. The size is 16x40x1.5".

Abstract Painting with Ocean theme

Lately I have been slightly obsessed with ocean themed art and in my mind, I wanted to keep it very abstract. Sometimes, I start a painting out with very abstract brush strokes and the more I work, the more details are introduced. I did this entire painting with a 2 inch old ratty brush that I bought from a hardware store, Most of the bristles have fallen out of stiffened by age. I did the initial stroked in dry brush and then added details with a palette knife. It is 30x40".

It is 30×40″.

New abstract expressionistic painting of a Wave

"Cascade" is a new abstract expressionistic painting that started out as an abstract painting. The more I looked at it, I saw a wave in the underpainting and gradually brushed and palette knifed in some details and tints. I try to stay abstract but the more I work on something, the more details come out. My husband said STOP on this one. Its done. 48x36" with gold metal strip frame.
