Beautiful full moon last week inspired new painting

Last week I was fortunate to witness one of the prettiest full moons rising at the beach. SO, I painted the scene to recapture the magic I experienced. The photo is attached and as you can see, I used artistic liberties. “Pink Moon Rising” is 24×36″ gallery wrap.

Painting class Day 1

As many of you know, I teach acrylic painting at our local senior activity center. This morning we all did the same landscape in the two hour session and thought it would be interesting to share the progress. The next class in two weeks should be really nice when we will continue to finalize the paintings. Most were 20x16 and larger. It is neat to see everyones style emerging and choices made by the individual artists. When they are finished, I will show the results...I am so proud of these gals for working hard and expanding their minds. ( I am missing one painting that was deleted from my phone by accident while downloading.

Original landscape painting sold through Gallery 725

This morning I got news of one of my paintings sold through a local gallery. It is called "Palm Reflection V" and was part of a series I created of palms on the intracoastal river with reflections at sunset. It is 24 x 48" gallery wrap. I am so thrilled that it has found a good home.

Kings Rd Vista Landscape

Last weekend I rush to take photos at a very pink sunset by the river. By the time I got there, the colors had faded but the vista landscape of the marsh behind me was beautiful. I actually shot three shots of this grand view and cloned them together so you could see what I saw. Even with a 14mm lens, I could not capture the entire scene with one shot.
